It's easiest to tap the blue Deselect all button near the top, and then scroll down and only select Google Photos. Murphy's law dictates that at the end of the day I'm going to have a phone with a nearly flat battery, need to use it for some other data or voice purposes, and have nowhere to charge the thing. Check the box next to Export Google Photos.

Select either a normal or custom export for HTML or PDF, or a Full or Custom XML export: Normal Export (HTML and PDF) to produce an HTML file containing all the pages that you have permission to view. The extra cord and software are complete non-issues, in my opinion. Its an easy-to-use gps tracker with gpx export (via mail, Dropbox or other cloud services with apps) and works just. Lediglich bei einer längeren Reise könnte ich mir vorstellen, die Fotos zunächst am Notebook zu importieren, dort zu bearbeiten, und anschließend einen Export zum Desktop zu machen.
